Our History and Beliefs

First Reformed Church is a member of the Reformed Church in America, the oldest Protestant denomination in America with a continuous history. It was established in New York in 1628. It is a historic denomination coming out of the Reformation when the Church was "reformed" according to the Word of God. The Church is Reformed in belief, with a Presbyterian form of government.

Our Confession of Faith includes: The Apostles' Creed, The Bible as God's Word, and Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of the World. To all who so believe, we extend a cordial invitation to unite with us in worship and service of God by confession of faith, re-affirmation of faith or by transfer of church membership. The Pastor and Elders will gladly call on those who are ill, need spiritual guidance, or desire to unite with the Church.
